Musikal Haikus: Asher Roth

“Musikal Haikus:…” is a segment that features the short and sweet melodies from some of our most beloved artist. Super groovy songs that run no longer than a minute and a half (or more), resulting in eternal replay.

The following song, “Rik Smits”, can be found on Asher Roth‘s most recent mixtape Seared Foie Gras with Quince and Cranberry. Its  title pays homage to the tough Indiana Pacers center Rik Smits. On the tape the song is listed as being only 1 minute and 37 seconds long but I suspect it clocks accurately about 4 minutes.

It’s possible that the version featured on Seared Foie Gras… is only a teaser or a snippet. Nonetheless the it’s still dope so I had to highlight it.
